... and I was right. The hypotenuses (yes, that's the plural--I checked) didn't match up. After much fiddling we got it right-ish.
Important Tip: Do NOT use cotton string that has too much bounce. You can stretch it, and stretch it some more, and just when you think you've got it nice and taut, you find you can stretch it yet another inch or so.
We switched to the nylon string, and that was much more accurate (albeit that one can still stretch too!). |
