Layout tip: dangle some painter's tape where the centre lines are rather than just marking on the lines. This way you have an instant visual no matter where you are standing. It's really necessary when you are eyeballing the position of the sonatubes. We also put some tape on the ledger with thick marker lines.
But mark on the tape which side of the tape is the centre. Including the measurement is good too. I don't know how often we looked at the tape to see where the arrow was pointing. |
