And to ensure that a jumbo plane could land on our deck, we also added rebar to the concrete! It cut like butter using a sawz-all with a metal blade.

The funny story here, is that the night before we had gone to Home Depot to buy the rebar, and we got the pieces extra long to save money (we would cut them ourselves). Well for the life of us we couldn't figure out how we would cut the rebar. I don't want to cut metal in my wood shop, but we thought of a metal cutting blade for my tablesaw. I wasn't happy. Then we came this close to purchasing a cut-off saw (on sale for less than $200 that Jonnie would need for other projects). It wasn't until we the salesman at Home Depot asked if we had ever heard of a sawz-all that we just looked at each other in disbelief. We have so many cutting tools at home, including a sawz-all, that we completely forgot about it. (Worse still, it's the tool Jonnie uses the most!) A $2.50 blade for the sawz-all, and we were on our way!
