Then he taped it all up for two reasons:
- To add a water and air barrier just in case the caulking didn't work anywhere; and
- , The flashing is aluminum, and it can corrode if it touches the new copper based pressure treated wood.
So the tape will act as a barrier between the flashing and the PT lumber. |
