While the railing is still a few days ahead, we designed it and decided to go with Titan Rail Post anchoring system.
Why? Because it's the best way to protect from rot. Normally you would notch out some of the bottom of the railing post and bolt it to the outer rim joist (or inner rim joist but that's worse for rot). With this system the posts stand on the deck but everything is bolted to additional blocking in between the joists. |
