Assign a Keyword to a Page

You can assign keywords to pages and playbacks so that the pages play exclusively on those playbacks with the same keyword. Or you can assign keywords to pages and playbacks such that the pages will not play on playbacks that include those keywords.

This feature is particularly useful in a multi-playback environment, or when the playback includes linked screens, zones or magazines from other playbacks.

If you have multiple playbacks across the country for a grocery store chain that all share a national advertisement magazine, and you have an advertisement for Organic Produce but only 5 stores sell the product, you can assign the keyword "organic" tothe page and to those 5 playbacks. The page will play in those playbacks and not others.

To assign a keyword to a page:

1.Open the page and go to the Schedule Tab.

2.Double click the Plugin Name field and select Keywords. (Tip: you can also click on the field and type the letter 'k').

3.Click on the Plugin-Command field and then on the … at the end of the field to open the keywords box.

4.Select the keyword from the list, and click OK.

  • If the keyword isn't in the list, select Add, type in the keyword, press OK, then select it from the list. Note that you will have to add the new keyword to the relevant playback. See Assign keywords to playbacks.

5.To select multiple keywords simply click on them. All highlighed keywords will be applied to the page, and the page will play when any of those keywords appear in the playback. Example: selecting the keywords East and West means the page will play on a playback that has East or a playback that has West as a keyword.

Advanced Settings

Click on the Advanced button for the following options:

Keywords MUST be present (2nd column)

  • The playback must have all the keywords, or the page will not play.
  • To set keywords as a requirement, select the keywords in the second column.
  • Example: If organic and local are selected in the 2nd column, then the page will play only on those playbacks that include both organic and local as keywords.

DO NOT PLAY PAGE if keywords are present (3rd and 4th columns)

  • Do not play the page if ANY keywords are present in the playback (3rd column). Example: if Ontario and Quebec are selected in the 3rd column the page will not play on playbacks that have either Ontario or Quebec as a keyword
  • Do not play if ALL keywords are present (4th column). Example: If Quebec and organic are selected in the 4th column, then the page will not play on any playback that includes both Quebec and organic keywords.
