Audio Settings

Pages can play audio files; a voice-over perhaps, or a jingle, or background music.

To add Audio to a page or template:

  1. Open the page/template and go to the Audio Tab.
  2. Select an audio type (see the list below), then browse to your file.

Note: By default, set all pages to "None" unless they are set to play audio or video files.

If you are having trouble finding your audio file make sure that the "files of type" field in the Windows Open dialog box is set to the file type you are seeking.

Digital

Allows a digital audio file (WAV or MP3) to play when the page is displayed.

Voice Over

Allows a digital audio file to play over a LIVE audio source. The volume of the LIVE audio will be ramped down so that the DIGITAL audio file is audible.

Audio from the previous page will continue playing in this page.

Video

Use this setting when the page includes an mpeg video or streamed video.

Web-based Audience systems only supports digital playback (wav and mp3 files). While you cannot playback 'live' audio from the sound card, you can have live audio through a capture card when the DigVidPreview plugin is selected. See Configure Live Video for details.
