Screen Priority

Screens have priority according to their order in the tree. The first screen has the highest priority, the second screen has a higher priority than the third, and so on.

Screen priority works in conjunction with scheduling. When there are multiple screens in a playback, their priority and then their schedules determine what is broadcast. The first screen in the list (the one with the highest priority) is played or skipped according to its schedule. If it is not scheduled to play, the next screen in the list is played or skipped according to its schedule, etc.

The lowest priority screen (or the only screen if you have only one) must be set to always play (default), and must have valid active content (pages in the playlist that are scheduled to play) in all of its zones. If one of the zones does not have active content, the screen will still play according to its schedule, but that zone will be black on air because of the lack of active content.

If two screens have the same schedule, the higher priority screen will play.
