Tag Fields in CorelDraw

When creating a Layout in CorelDraw you must “tag” (rename in Object Manager) any text or graphic field you want to edit directly with Audience.foundation or Audience.billboard. Untagged items remain a permanent part of the CorelDraw layout and can only be modified in CorelDraw.

Note: To tag graphics, they must be imported using the Import Image icon . Only tagged text fields (Artistic and Paragraph) and graphics can be edited in Audience.foundation; CorelDraw shapes, for example, can be renamed in Object Manager but will not be recognized as editable in Audience.foundation.

Tagging Instructions

1.In CorelDraw, open Object Manager if it is not already open.

2.Click on the object that you want to tag, and see which object corresponds to it in Object Manager (it will be highlighted).

3.Right click on the field you want to tag (Artistic Text, Paragraph Text, or Externally Linked Bitmap), and select Rename.

4.Give the field a short descriptive name. Keep in mind that this name is what appears as the field’s title in Audience.foundation Page Details.

Note: If you cannot see the names you have given to the fields, click on the Show Object Properties icon at the top left of the Object Manager Window.

If you want a field to remain a permanent part of the Layout, do not tag it. For example, you may not want anyone to change some text elements used in the template.

Tag for Use with Billboard or Data Services

Once you have tagged your fields, there is one additional step to make those fields work with Audience.billboard and/or Data Services.

1.In Audience.foundation, open the template.

2.Go to the Text and Graphics tab.

3.Type $xxx in each field, replacing xxx with a short alphanumeric title that will be used in Audience.billboard and Data Services as the field's title. Remember to begin each field you want to open to Audience.billboard with a "$", no spaces between it and the word used.
