Transitions

Transitions control the way pages appear and disappear. Pages can flow into one another, they can snap, zoom, or wipe right off the screen.

Some transitions are for specific purposes, as indicated in the table below.

Transition	web	android
crawl
The crawl transition is for text only, graphics only or a mix of graphics and text. For smoother crawls, use the new 1-10 transitions, 1 being the slowest. See Crawl Setting

dissolve
A special version of fade to be used when you want to fade between pages that do not contain alpha and use the same template.
DVE Zoom (up or down)	*	*
DVE Zoom Up brings the page to full screen. You must use the DVE Zoom Down on another page to return to zone size. See Example of a Video Page Setup for more information. * DVE Zoom can be used on web-based systems but it will snap to full screen.
Fade
The page fades onto the screen. To fade between pages that do not contain alpha and that use the same template, use dissolve instead.
FadeBlack
The previous page fades to black and the current page appears as fading from black.
Gate (3-D)
This 3-D transition acts like a hinge on a gate door, where the non-hinged part of the page is pushed back into the screen. A direction of right means the hinge is on the left and the right side of the page is pushed back into the screen
P-Gate (3-D)

PopoutFade
A 3-D transition that makes the page pop-out of its zone. It’s best used in zones that are ¾ of the screen size or less. The SizeRotation parameter adjusts how large the page becomes before completely fading off the screen: 100=10% larger, 200=20% larger, etc.
Push, Push-over, Push-under
Pushes the page onto the screen. Push pushes the previous page off the screen. Push-over slides the new page over top the previous page. Push under slides the old page off the sceen to reveal the new page.
Push-Partial
This is a special transition best used to display tweets or SMS messages. The page is pushed up or down by the number of pixels indicated in the size/rotation field. If the zone is 400 pixels high and the size/rotation is set to 100, the top 1/4 of the page will push up and play, then the top 1/4 of the next page will push up displaying both pages. 4 pages could be displayed at one time in this example. Two pages will display if the size/rotation equals 1/2 of the zone height. This transition is best used with a template in which the paragraph text at the top of the template is the same number of pixels as the size/rotation setting.
Rotate (3-D)
A 3-D effect that rotates the page on the axes selected in the Direction field.
Snap
For web systems, all transitions into or out of video pages will be snap regardless of w hich transition is selected (using DVEZoom Up will snap the video to full screen).
Sphere x (3-D)

Tumble1 or 2
The page begins where set by the direction field and tumbles onto the screen.
Double Tumble
The previous page tumbles off the screen while the new page tumbles onto the screen. The direction field applies to the current page, while the diametrically opposed direction applies to the previous page tumbling off the screen.
Tumble Fade
Like TumbleOne or Two with a corresponding fade.
Spin
The page spins onto the screen. The spin axes is determined by the direction field. Size/Rotation determines the number of times it spins.
SpinFade
A spin with a corresponding fade.
Wipe
The page wipes across the previous page in a set direction.
Zoom
When set to direction: up the zoom begins in the middle of the previous page and zooms up to reveal the new page. When set to down, the previous page zooms down to the centre of the new page to reveal it. All other directions determine where the zoom begins.
SingleZoom
The previous page zooms down and the current page zooms up.
ZoomFade
Like a zoom but with a corresponding fade.
