Video Settings
Pages can contain video files like mpeg files or live broadcasts, or even flash files, depending on the kind of system you have.
To add Video to a page or template, open the page or template and go to the Video Tab:
- Select a video type (see the list below)
- If the video is a background video, choose Yes to "Video Looped".
- Select the type of Video Effect (see below for details)
- In Video Filename browse to your video file. If the page is a Live Video page or a Video Follow page, leave this blank.
- (Optional) Preview pages with video content.
- (Optional) Trim MPEG video if required.

Video Type & Settings
Page contains No video.
Video Effect must be set to Hide
Source is MPEG video file.
- Audio Type must be set to "Video".
- In the Misc Tab, set the page duration to 0 to play the entire video, or enter specific duration in SMPTE format (hh:mm:ss:ff). Specific duration required for web output.
- For web systems, WMV files can be rendered automatically. To enable this feature go to File > Audience Settings and place a checkmark next to “Enable Transcoding”.

Video playing in previous page will continue to play in this page.
- Use to display the content of the page over the video (such as text overlay) or to apply a set of transitions to the video (such as zoom up to full screen and zoom down to zone size)
- In the Misc Tab, enter specific page duration in SMPTE format (hh:mm:ss:ff).
Play video from an external source.
- In the Misc Tab, enter specific page duration in SMPTE format (hh:mm:ss:ff).
- Audio Type must be set to "Live"

Used to display live Windows Media streams on web-based Audience systems only.
- In the Video Filename Tab, enter the url of the stream.
- Audio Type must be set to "Video".
- In the Misc Tab, enter specific page duration in SMPTE format (hh:mm:ss:ff).
- When the stream is a 'live stream' (from a remote Windows Media Encoder or Windows Media Server), it will take approximately 20 seconds to begin playing the stream. Make sure that the page playing before the streaming page is 20 seconds long. This will provide ample time to preload the stream page.

Plays a Flash (.swf) animation file in all Audience systems.
- In the Misc Tab, enter specific page duration in SMPTE format (hh:mm:ss:ff).
For playing Flash files on web systems, see Configure Flash Files for details.
Note: On web-based systems a page that follows a video is displayed with the snap transition regardless of the selected transition.
Video Effect
From the drop-down, select the appropriate option.
- Hide
This is the default setting. Use for all pages except video and flash pages. - DVE (Digital Video Effects)
Allows real-time video with resize/reposition digital video effects. For web-based Audience systems the only legal transition for a DVE video page is a "snap". Once a DVE video is playing, you can zoom up or down, for full screen video. - Video3d
Used when you are playing stereoscopic side by side encoded video or MNG animation files. Encoding should be left view on the left side, and right view on the right side. - Video3dreverse
Used as above, except with stereoscopic side by side encoded video files or MNG animation files where the left view is on the right and right view on the left.
Note: If there is no video content be sure to set Video Effect to hide otherwise you will not be able to see the content of your non-video page. The default setting for Video Effect is hide.
