Web Settings for a Page

A page can be set to play on the web differently than how it plays on the main Playback. For example, if the page is a long video, you can exclude it from playing on the web altogether, or you can play a different page on the web.

To apply Web Settings open a page or template in Audience.foundation and in Page Details select the "web" tab.

For more web settings, see Configure Audience.web Settings.

Exclude

By default, this is set to False. Set to True to exclude a page from broadcasting on the web. The page will still be active for television or for digital signage.

This is useful if you want to exclude video content from the web. You may also want to exclude pages that include alpha channel, as this is not supported on web-based systems.

Web Only

You can set a page to be for the web only using a plugin. See  “WebOnly” on page WebOnly”.

Link URL

This requires that Exclude be set to False (default). Link URL allows you to link your pages to URLs on the web. If you enter a URL in this field a web user who double-clicks on the page in Audience.web will be sent to the specified URL.

This is an excellent way to link to client sites.

Link URL Use Frame

Set to True if you want links to open in a frame below the Audience.web broadcast instead of opening in a new browser window.

Pre Nugget and Post Nugget

Nuggets are small external files (either text or binary) that inject javascript into the running code of Audience.web and allow the user to do specialized things. They are similar to plugins except that they can do anything that regular web code can do.

Graphic Web Page

You can display a web page within Audience web, by entering a URL here. The web page displays scaled to the zone size.

If the URL is included in a graphic page, then the graphic will play on a non-web playback whereas the webpage will play on the web playback. Otherwise, create a page exlusively for the web using the WebOnly plugin.
